A woman faces felony assault charges after she allegedly rammed another woman’s car and then brandished a knife.

The woman, April D. Doss, 38, of Morrison is charged with aggravated assault, a crime that carries three to six years in prison. Her charge comes for an incident on Hervy Jones Road.

“She said April Doss had rammed her vehicle three or four times,” reported deputy Calvin Hammond. “She then stated that Ms. Doss left the scene and returned displaying a knife outside the window of the victim’s vehicle.”

Along with threatening the female victim, Doss found herself in more hot water when the deputy discovered she had walked through a restraining order by going to the Hervy Jones Road home of a man where the aggravated assault took place.

“She entered his residence while there was an order of protection against her,” the deputy noted, adding she was still in the home when he arrived to investigate the aggravated assault. “She was placed under arrest and transported to jail.”

The motive for her threatening the female victim with a knife and ramming her car has not been revealed.
