After persistent dry conditions for Warren County for weeks, rain from Hurricane Helene provided welcome relief.
Last week, the McMinnville Water Supply Dam was a testament to dry conditions when no water flowed across the top of it for the first time in many years. Rainfall began Thursday evening and, by Friday afternoon, 4.4 inches of precipitation had been recorded in the area and water levels had risen by at least a foot according to Water and Wastewater Director Ricky Morton.
