The adorable charm of McMinnville’s annual Christmas parade is set to return Saturday, Dec. 4, with city officials requesting feedback on this year’s theme.

McMinnville’s annual Christmas Parade theme is being left up to voters.

The parade is only 55 days away and McMinnville Parks and Recreation is letting the public vote on the theme.

This is the first time the city department is allowing the public to weigh in on the parade. Recreation program director Michael Benuches says he wants public input this year especially since the city was unable to have the parade last year because of COVID-19.

“We just want public feedback. We want to see what the people want to see,” said Benuches.

There are five theme options to vote for:

• Everyone is Santa

• Santa’s Workshop

• Let it Snow

• Songs of Christmas

• The 12 Days of Christmas

Anyone who wants to vote can comment on the theme they want on the McMinnville Parks and Recreation Facebook page, or on its Instagram page. Benuches says they are also working on having a ballot set up at the front desk of Milner Recreation Center.

The voting deadline is Monday, Oct. 11 at 11:59 p.m.
