Vinson’s Crossroads FCEC met Nov. The meeting was called to order by President Frances Hobbs who introduced our guests Vicki Gibbs and Victoria Conley. The devotional was given by Alda Bandy, who read Galatians 5:16-17 and Naomi Smith led in prayer. Hobbs led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The financial report was given by treasurer Wilma Davenport, and secretary Lori Yates read the minutes from the Oct. 19 meeting. Roll call was answered with the group naming a favorite species of butterflies.
Hobbs and Smith gave the wellness training report on CPR. Reading reports were given by Smith, Davenport and Becky Phillips. Bandy showed us a basket she made in Dunlap. She said a bread basket class will be given in McMinnville in February.
Hobbs shared information from the FCEC conference held in Knoxville this month. Next year the conference will be held in Memphis.
Our next meeting will be held on Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Blue Hills Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Members were reminded to bring a $10-15 gift for gift exchange, finger food and items for the Children’s Advocacy Center.
After the Club Creed was read, the meeting was adjourned. Members met at Taco Bell for lunch and went to the McMinnville Board and Care Home to play Bingo and serve refreshments to residents.
