Silent Creed Riding Club is holding a free meal open to all veterans this Saturday, May 20 at the VFW. The meal will be served at 2 p.m. and includes Bad Boys BBQ.
“We couldn’t do what we do unless they’ve done what they’ve done,” said Silent Creed president Darren Turner. “It’s the least we can do to show how much we appreciate veterans.”
Silent Creed is a motorcycle club started about 18 months ago. The group has about 15 members and conducts regular meetings.
The VFW is the site because the group is hoping to have 300 to 400 veterans in attendance.
May 20 was selected as the date because it is Armed Forces Day. Veterans and their spouses will eat free with service card. Other guests are welcome, although there is a $10 meal charge.
