Vouchers are still available for the Senior Farmers Market program for vouchers which can be used the last weekend in July and also the entire month of August.
This program is designed to assist seniors in purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables so they can have healthy meals for the table.
The program utilizes vouchers from the Warren County Farmers Market and supports our local farming community in the process.
Participants will receive $40 in vouchers to be used at the Warren County Farmers Market during July and August. The Farmers Market is currently bursting with vegetables and will have corn day this Saturday, July 30. Free ears of corn will be served, complete with butter and salt and pepper. Yum.
To be eligible for the senior voucher program, participants must meet the following guidelines:
• Be a resident of Warren County
• Be age 60 years or older
• Meet income guidelines as shown below:
1-person home -- $17,667 annual, $1,473 month
2-person home -- $23,803 annual, $1,984 month
