Monday, Aug. 27
Warren County’s 24 recently elected county commissioners will be sworn into office at 5 p.m. An oath of office will be administered by Judge Bart Stanley.
Tuesday, Aug. 28
The county Financial Management Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. Several items of business will be considered: 1) RFP for VOIP phone system for Warren County Schools; 2) Warren County Jail addition; 3) Used tractor and boom mower for Warren County Highway Department; 4) Budget amendments and transfers, if any; 5) Surplus property approval and disposal, if any.
The city Building and Grounds Committee will meet at 6 p.m. to discuss a request to deed the Blue Building to the Tourism Development Board.
The city Water and Sewer Committee will meet at 6:20 p.m. Three items of business will be under consideration: 1) discuss awarding a contract for asbestos abatement for 202 Bell Street renovations; 2) discuss 2018-19 Community Development Block Grant Water System Grant eligibility; 3) discuss/ award small mini-excavator purchase and disposal of tractor.
A public hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. to listen to comments regarding the 2018-19 proposed fiscal year budget for the city of McMinnville.
McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold its regular session at 7 p.m. One item of business is the agenda, an ordinance to adopt the proposed fiscal year budget for 2018-19.
