Trying to break free gets Scott a month in jail

A man who tried to shake officers by running into a bar will serve a month in jail.The fugitive, Wesley Paul Scott, 28, entered guilty pleas before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to charges of evading arrest, reckless endangerment and driving on a revoked license. He was directed to serve 30 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and lose his driving privileges for one year. His sentence will be served in addition to his violation of probation charges in Cannon County.McMinnville police officer Katelyn Neal said she fell in behind Scott’s Chrysler Town and Country van around 2 a.m., suspecting he might be driving under the influence given his slow speed.
