With the tragic bus crash that claimed the lives of six students in Chattanooga still fresh in memories after nearly a year, highway patrolmen conducted a spot inspection on local buses this past week, giving Durham Services good marks on bus maintenance.Trooper Darryl Winningham, trooper Craig Wilkerson, Sgt. Kent Norris, and Capt. R.C. Christian inspected 13 buses at the Warren County bus garage. “These inspections are very thorough and include every element you can envision,” said Capt. Christian. “These include external lights and safety features that are quite simple to ensure no child is left behind in a bus after the driver drops off the students.
