A teenager and a toddler escaped with their lives Tuesday morning when they awoke to find their home on fire.Jasmine Saylors, 18, was able to grab her 2-year-old cousin, Bryson Johnson, and get out of the home around 8 a.m.“There was smoke everywhere when I woke up,” said an emotionally shaken Saylors. “I grabbed him and made it out the back door.”They both escaped serious injury and were checked out by medical personnel in a nearby ambulance for smoke inhalation issues.The wooden home is located on Smith Town Road, which is in the Blues Hill area of the county near Centertown. Three people live there.
