McMinnville’s new Tourism Development Board could cost $188,270 to start.Chamber of Commerce president Mandy Eller was asked by city officials to generate a proposed budget for the new board due to the Chamber being active in tourism development, an area that will be taken over by the Tourism Board once it’s established.Eller estimates the board’s revenues would be $100,270. That’s $25,000 from an estimated lodging tax and the Chamber’s appropriation request made to the city for $75,270. Board expenses would be $213,270.
