Tibbetts charged with stealing from ex-father-in-law

A woman faces felony charges after she allegedly ripped off her ex-father-in-law’s credit card without him knowing.The woman, Amy Nicole Tibbetts, 30, will face hearing Tuesday before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on charges of forgery, theft and attempted fraudulent use of a credit card.Tibbetts was charged after the victim discovered his Lowe’s credit card had been stolen. The discovery was made when he was called by Lowe’s and told he had reached his credit card limit of $1,500. The victim thought that odd since he had not made any charges on his Lowe’s card.Sheriff’s investigator Travis Thaxton took the case and went to Lowe’s where he found there had been a purchase on the card for $310.
