A woman who lied to police to cover for three car thieves who were hiding in her apartment has been sentenced to 59 days in jail.The woman, Tasha Michelle Spurlock, 29, was directed by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to serve 59 days of a two-year sentence for making a false report to an officer of the law.Her sentence comes after police arrived at her residence at Buckingham Apartments looking for three men suspected in a string of auto thefts. Officers immediately knew they were in the right place given a note she had hung on the door, warning no one to knock unless they were one of the three men. With the men’s names they were looking for literally written on the door, police knocked.
