The Region 2 Director of TDOT responded at the end of last week to an email sent Friday, March 10 from Rock Island County Commissioner Tommy Savage. Savage was writing concerning the outcry from residents of Rock Island at the meeting that night regarding the possibility of a bike and pedestrian trail that originally would have run through private land and potentially historical features of Rock Island (on and off the national registry of historic places).
