If you are interested in film and digital photography, a six-course class and fundraiser begins this week.

Warren County Heritage Center and Southern School of Photography Museum is offering the photography class starting this Tuesday, Nov. 19. Instructors Bruce Atnip and Krystal Tanner will lead students through the basics of photography.

The cost for this six-course class is $50. Classes will meet on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. for an hour and a half on these other following dates: Dec. 10, Dec. 17, Jan. 7, Jan. 21 and Jan. 28. If there is a large response, the instructors will hold a second class at 6:45 p.m. on the same dates.

Photography classes will cover topics such as how to use your camera, staging your shot, composing your photo, lighting basics, close ups and long shots, and putting it all together.

The Warren County Heritage Center and Southern School of Photography Museum offers a unique location for the class with its artifacts and displays on the world-renown Southern School of Photography founded by W.S. Lively.

The school was located on the current site of First Baptist Church on Donnell Street in a magnificent brick building but closed in 1928 after a fire damaged the building irreparably.

More information on the class can be obtained by calling Bruce Atnip at (931) 409-2035.
