McMinnville Police Department is investigating a suspicious death that occurred over the weekend. 

“Police were called to a residence on Griswold Terrace on Sunday at about 1 a.m. They found a 47-year-old female unresponsive and was later determined to be dead,” said McMinnville Police Chief Bryan Denton. 

The woman has been identified as Vivian Joyce Taylor. Griswold Terrace is located off Spring Street.

Detectives are investigating the unexpected early morning incident and its circumstances.

“There were no visible signs of foul play, but officers are investigating unusual circumstances surrounding the incident,” said Denton, who declined to provide more information about the case and what led detectives to determine the death was unusual. 

Because the cause of Taylor’s death is undetermined at this time, an autopsy has been ordered.
