State Rep. Paul Sherrell (R-Sparta) was officially sworn in as the new state representative for House District 43 on Tuesday, as the 110th General Assembly convened to organize. herrell was elected in November and will be serving his first term in the Tennessee House of Representatives."I am thankful for the opportunity to serve and I look forward to tackling meaningful issues for the people of District 43 this legislative session,” Sherrell said. “I urge my constituents to contact me with their thoughts and input as issues that are important to them progress through the General Assembly this year.”Sherrell was also selected by the House Speaker to serve on the Committee to Report to the Senate. The committee is a procedural one that notifies the Senate the House has convened and organized for the legislative session.
