McMinnville officials were given a glimpse into what could be one of the dirtiest aspects of providing sewer to city residents. Water and Wastewater Department director Anthony Pelham presented to Water and Sewer Committee members a service agreement from Republic Services, a waste disposal and trash pickup service, which will provide the city with two new garbage bins for collecting debris and monthly visits to empty those and haul to Midpoint Landfill in Murfreesboro. The bins are using in the screening process.“The screening dumpster is where we screen all the waste that comes in,” said Pelham.
