Second Saturday returns

Second Saturday is back this Saturday after skipping September due to it falling on the same week as the Warren County A&L Fair.

Second Saturday is a one-day shopping event where businesses stay open later and live music plays downtown. It starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.

This Saturday, the participating bands are not finalized yet, but so far David Hillis, Tristan Hillis and Tom Steger are set to provide the live music.

The list of businesses wanting to participate continues to grow since the first Second Saturday. The businesses participating this Saturday are: Linen and Grace, Southern Traditions, Renewed Creations, The Vintage Market, Red Door Kids, The Crouch House, Lemon, Wink Skincare Studio, Evelyn Taylor Avenue.

The restaurants participating include: Cumberland Biscuit Company, Topz/Metro Deli, Collins River BBQ, Begonias, and Kimmi’s Tea Room.

The Historic Downtown McMinnville shopping extravaganza was originally only supposed to last through August, but the Main Street McMinnville board voted to extend it through December. The businesses participating this Saturday are set to participate through December, but things are subject to change.

This month, Second Saturday will coincide with the Taste of Downtown McMinnville, a four-course dining event.
