A Thursday afternoon wreck sent a 57-year-old woman to Saint Thomas River Park Hospital around 2 p.m.

Unlike most wrecks that tend to happen at the intersection by Dollar General in Rock Island, this two-vehicle crash happened in front of the Rock Island Post Office on Rock Island Road.

Injured was Walling resident Louann Lango, who was at fault for the collision. According to Warren County Sheriff’s deputy Tyler Glenn, Lango was stopped at the stop sign in her black Honda when she pulled out and was T-boned by McMinnville resident Wendy Hurst, driver of a GMC truck.

Hurst received a citation for driving with an expired driver license and no proof of insurance.

Hurst was walking around after the wreck, while Lango was transported to the hospital.
