Enjoying a free breakfast for first-responders Friday at Riverview Terrace are, from left, McMinnville Police officers Gabriel Harbin, Maggi Fann, Matt Stubblefield and John Simmons.

First-responders can put their lives on the line when answering the call of duty.

To say thank you to the law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency workers in our community, Riverview Terrace treated these professionals to breakfast.

When asked why this was an important event, Linda Green, the lifestyle coordinator at Riverview Terrace, said, “With older residents we see them often and wanted to show our appreciation.”

Added Emily Boyd, PCA on the night shift, “They are really kind and we appreciate them all.”

Dining services coordinator Monda Nichols prepared the delicious and varied selection offered to first-responders on Friday. She mentioned that, “95 percent of the meals prepared here are made from scratch.”

McMinnville police officer Maggi Fann said, “I love it. This is awesome!”

Officer John Simmons said the breakfast was very thoughtful.

Officer Gabriel Harbin added, “This means a lot and is very appreciated.”

It was a full breakfast with eggs, biscuits, croissants, bacon and sausage. The food was well-received and considered very tasty by those who stopped by for a complimentary morning meal.
