Restaurants caught selling beer to teen

Two clerks were given probation while a third failed to show up for court after they sold beer to an underage operative who was working undercover for the Alcoholic Beverage Commission.All three sales took place at Mexican restaurants.Maribel Linares and Pauline Alonzo both entered guilty pleas before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on Tuesday morning to charges of sale of alcoholic beverage to a minor. They were placed on probation for an 11-month, 29-day term but were given judicial diversions, meaning they can have their criminal records erased. The two were also directed to pay fines and to perform 100 hours public service work.
