A convicted felon who was charged with waving a gun at two groups of people on the same day has been sentenced to serve nearly a year in jail.
Blake Campbell Raper, 35, was ordered to serve 360 days of a six-year sentence by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley on Wednesday. He entered pleas to charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and domestic assault.
The incidents in question reportedly occurred Dec. 8. The Warren County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic assault call on Driftwood Lane where it was learned Raper had waved a gun around, putting three people in fear for their lives.
On the same date, the Sheriff’s Department also found Raper to have waved a Kel-Tec .380 handgun in a threatening manner while two people were in the room, resulting in both individuals fearing for their safety.
Raper was arrested following a party. Several of the party-goers gave accounts of Raper’s actions, providing probable cause for his arrest.
Raper was ordered to have no contact with his victims. He can be furloughed to the Tony Rice Center.
