Warren County residents will soon find out if their voting precinct has changed.
According to Warren County election administrator Susie Davenport, that information will be in the mail in a few days.
“If your voting district as changed, you will be notified by mail,” said Davenport. “We aren’t sending out letters to every resident of Warren County, just those affected. If you do not receive notification about a change, your precinct remains the same.”
Local and state redistricting is complete and that has created changes.
“We have many, many streets that were affected by redistricting,” said Davenport. “It has not been an easy process to identify every residence in which the voting precinct changed. We have some streets, such as Shangri La Lane, which is just one of many, where some residences were affected but others were not. We had to double check everything and sent it to the state for verification.”
Election Commission staff are in the process of printing cards and stuffing envelopes.
“Notifications will go out in a few days,” said Davenport.
Once again, only Warren County residences affected by redistricting will receive notification.
