A man has been given 90 days in jail for assaulting his girlfriend at his home and then in his car. The defendant, Damon Shay Perkins, 40, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of aggravated assault. He was instructed to serve 90 days of a four-year sentence and must undergo batterer intervention classes.
