Parks and Rec OKs nonprofit youth discount

At the Parks and Recreaction committee Tuesday night, Michael Benusches, facility manager of Milner Recreation Center, spoke on behalf of the Parks and Recreation Department since Justin Scott, Parks and Rec director, was on vacation this week. Benuscius mentioned the Parks and Rec Department being approached by a local non-profit about potentially offering group rates for local non-profits. The proposal was to offer a discounted rate of $3 for youth aged five to 17 that are members of local groups with 501c3 nonprofit status.
