Paperwork delays move to improve computer security

An attempt to bolster the city of McMinnville’s computer security might be easier said than done.City administrator Bill Brock was directed during the last Board of Mayor and Aldermen regular session on Nov. 28 to have a request for proposals (RFP) by the next meeting, a push by Vice Mayor Ben Newman to move the city forward on obtaining bids to hire an IT security company. Brock said he couldn’t find an existing proposal the city could use to write its own. “Nothing exists to help write this,” said Brock.
