A couple reportedly slammed into a hay bale while driving on Old Nashville Highway last week sending the passenger to the ICU.

The Sheriff’s Department report the Southern Standard received on Wednesday details what reportedly happened in the motorcycle wreck that occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 24. According to the report, Chad Gribble, 42, was driving a 2001 John Deere tractor south on Old Nashville Hwy. and had turned left into a cattle field when Kyler, 27, and Kyla Price, 26, were driving a 2005 Suzuki GSX traveling north.

The report states that the Price couple struck a hay bale on the tractor. The motorcycle reportedly lost control and flipped, ejecting both riders into the ditch. The motorcycle came to rest in the ditch and the tractor did not sustain damage.

Kyla was transported by ambulance to Ascension Saint Thomas River Park to be treated for her injuries. She was later sent to Vanderbilt Medical University ER trauma unit. According to her mother, Crystal Gooch, Kyla sustained many injuries.

She reportedly broke her humerus in two separate places, her left lung collapsed requiring a chest tube, several ribs were fractured, her right leg is fractured and her T4 in her spinal column is fractured. She also sustained several lacerations requiring stitches. Gooch says Kyla is still in the ICU at this time.
