A new Finance Department director is scheduled to be selected Monday, Aug. 6. The county Financial Management Committee met Wednesday and was poised to strike after the final four candidates were interviewed a second time. “I hoped we would do it today,” said County Executive Herschel Wells, when asked by one applicant when the final decision would be made.
