An executive director search by Main Street McMinnville drew a dozen interested individuals.
“We received 12 applicants,” said Main Street McMinnville board president Raven Young. “After reviewing those, we felt like one individual really stood out. We had a Zoom interview with her and we’ve asked her for an in-person interview.”
Names are being withheld, but the person currently under consideration lives in Hermitage.
“I thought the interview went very well,” said Rodney Boyd, MSM secretary/ treasurer. “She came across as very personable. She was easy to talk with.”
An in-person interview is being arranged.
“We felt like that stage of the interview went well,” said Young. “We have asked her for an in-person interview. We are waiting for her to confirm that, but what I’d like to do is take her around town and introduce her to some of our businesses.”
That day may also include a meet-and-greet dinner with the other members of the Main Street McMinnville board.
“We’d like to see how she interacts and gets along with everyone,” said Boyd. “Then, we’d have to get back together as a board and make a decision or have more input on it.”
Main Street McMinnville has been without an executive director since the departure of Teresa Prober in October 2020.
