A 31-year-old mother has been indicted for first-degree murder by aggravated child abuse in the death of her 2-month-old baby.

Tiffany Elaine Parslow was indicted by the Warren County grand jury on Friday and taken into custody Monday for the death of her son, Sawyer Ken Patrick Roberts. She was booked Monday at 3:50 p.m. at Warren County Jail and given a $100,000 bond.

“There were injuries to the baby due to a combination of abuse and neglect,” said District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis.

According to the indictment, the abuse took place between the dates of April 13 and April 18, 2020.

The indictment says that Parslow, “… knowingly, other than by accidental means, treated Sawyer Ken Patrick Roberts, a child 8 years of age or less, in such a manner as to inflict injury, with the act of abuse resulting in serious bodily injury to, and the death of, Sawyer Ken Patrick Roberts, constituting the offense of murder in the first degree.”

Zavogiannis said the baby’s father is not facing charges at this time. She said Parslow was the primary caregiver and the father was recovering from surgery.

No location was given about where the alleged abuse took place other than to say in Warren County.

Two physicians are listed on the indictment as witnesses to subpoena, Dr. Lauren Taylor and Dr. Emily Dennison, to suggest medical information will be used in the case against Parslow.
