A mother faces child neglect charges after she allegedly kicked her teen son out into the cold.The mother, Angela M. Scott, 44, is charged with child neglect for making her 16-year-old son leave the house and locking the door behind him.“Due to the cold weather and leaving him nowhere to go, I charged her with child neglect,” said McMinnville policeman Matthew Stubblefield about the incident that happened in the pre-dawn hours around 4:30 a.m. outside Green Acres Apartments.According to the officer, he was called to the scene and found the teen standing outside. The youth explained his father had full custody of him, but he was spending the night with his mother.“He said that at approximately 4:30 a.m. his mother woke up upset and started screaming about someone stealing her pills,” the officer recalled the youth’s story. “She packed a bag and ordered her juvenile son to leave her apartment.”The mother walked him out the door and locked the door behind them.
