The McMinnville father and his two sons who are accused of assaulting a woman have their trial dates set for September. 

Wendell Vernon McAbee and his sons, Adam Christopher McAbee and Morgan Benjamin McAbee were taken into custody on Jan. 26 for assault. According to the warrant, the victim stated her husband, Wendell, got into a physical altercation where he pulled her hair, pushed her to the ground and put both hands around her neck. The victim also stated Wendell’s two sons got involved in the altercation. The warrant states Adam and Morgan screamed at her and pinned her up against the wall. 

The victim reportedly showed redness and bruising around her neck area. The three were on the docket for Circuit Court on Wednesday for plea or trial selection. Adam and Morgan are both charged with domestic assault. Wendell is charged with aggravated assault, domestic assault and violation of bond conditions. 

Wendell’s third charge came in June when the Grand Jurors of Warren County determined he unlawfully and knowingly did violate his bond conditions. He violated an order of protection. Wendell, Adam and Morgan’s trial dates are set for Sept. 26-27.
