Voters will not get to elect a new McMinnville mayor in November. Based on city charter, current Mayor Jimmy Haley would have needed to resign his position at least 20 days prior to the Aug. 16 municipal deadline. That would have been no later than July 27 to get the seat on the upcoming ballot.
