A man who hid a teen runaway and gave her meth has been sentenced to half a year behind bars.

The man, William R. Draht, 38, was ordered by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to serve 180 days of a three-year sentence and undergo the sex offender program for aggravated statutory rape. He is not to have any contact with his 16-year-old victim.

The teen girl was found at Draht's home on Park Drive and asked why she was there.

“She admitted that William Draht had provided her with methamphetamine,” said Stuart Colwell, investigator for District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis. Colwell noted the teen had been given the drugs the night before.
