McMinnville officials have given their endorsement of the Main Street Live summer concert series 2022.

“We are asking for the same as always,” said Main Street McMinnville board president Raven Young. “Take Main Street down to one lane with safety cones and police patrol. Trash cans for cleanup.”

Young made the request before the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Tuesday. For its support of the summer concert series, the city customarily authorizes the use of city resources in the form of traffic control, safety barriers and trashcans.

The series kicks off June 10 at 7 p.m. with Clayton Q, a singer who has performed on Fox, GAC, CMT and AMC. He has enjoyed a career in music since his high school days of playing in a local restaurant for tips in the early 2000s in his Kentucky hometown.

Concerts are offered on the West Lawn of Security Federal Savings Bank on Main Street. Concessions open at 6 p.m.

The request from Main Street McMinnville received unanimous approval from the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
