Lopez gets 90 days for bar brawl

A bar room brawl at Cowboy Up will cost one man 90 days behind bars, while his reported partner in the attack will go before the grand jury, charged with felony assault, for a fight which is believed to have been fueled by revenge.Anthony Phillip Lopez, 54, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to the lesser charge of simple assault and was ordered to serve 90 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and was warned to have no further contact with the victim, Jeff Morton. Lopez had originally been charged with felony assault. Meanwhile, the other participant in the brawl, Charles James Cole, 34, had his case bound to the grand jury on the charge of aggravated assault.Prosecutors say it was Cole who pointed out Morton to Lopez before the assault began.
