Local drug court receives nearly $1M grant

The local Adult Recovery Court Program, in collaboration with Volunteer Behavioral Health Care Services (CHEER Mental Health), has been awarded a three-year enhancement grant for $975,000. The grant was awarded from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. The grant will serve adults, ages 19 to 26, who are involved in the criminal justice system experiencing symptoms of mental health conditions, substance abuse addictions, or other disorders.
