McMinnville officials have temporarily cut everyone off.During Tuesday’s city meetings, the decision was made to wait an additional two weeks before making a final decision on two ordinances that will allow package liquor stores and wine in grocery stores in the city limits. The official resistance came at the request of the city’s Finance Committee in order to allow legal counsel time to make changes to the ordinances. City attorney Tim Pirtle will include specifics on liquor store signage and information pertaining to the city collecting its 8 percent tariff.Vice Mayor Ben Newman wants to limit signage in order to prevent a “massive liquor sign” being placed.
