Pageantry will take the grandstand stage tonight as the Pre-Teen Fairest of the Fair kicks off this year's celebration as the first major event.With girls parading across the stage, burgers will be coming off the grill next door as the Lions Club booth will be serving food Friday night from 4 to 9 p.m.The fair really starts to reach a gallop Saturday with a colt show, a cornhole tournament, a saddle club fun show, and the popular On the Road Again Show, which will be at the grandstand beginning at 7:30 p.m.“We’ve been asked back to the fair,” said Kevin Deason, who performs as Bubba and is emcee for the On the Road Again Show. “We’re heading out of the country and back into the big city of McMinnville.”The show is a mainstay during Viola Valley Homecoming. This will be the second year for it to grace the grandstand at the fair.The On the Road Again Show features local residents lip-syncing some of their favorite songs.
