Kruise-in for Kids is back and increasing its horsepower in 2017.
“We did two of these last year and raised nearly $1,000, so we decided to do it again this year,” said Blaine Wilcher, event organizer. “We, me and a bunch of local car enthusiast, are helping organize this cruise-in each month April through October. It’s every second Saturday from 5 p.m. to whenever everyone leaves.”
The event takes place at the Kids of the Community building located at 681 Cadillac Lane, just past Jarden Consumer Solutions (Oster).
The cruise-in operates on donations only. There is no charge for the event. Everyone making a donation, regardless of the amount, will receive a complimentary dash plaque. Different dash plaques will be given each month thanks to sponsorships.
Smarty Pants Daycare is back as a primary sponsor, among others.
Cars, trucks, motorcycles, and racecars are encouraged to attend. Music and prizes will be available.
All money raised goes to the Kids of the Community, a community-based, entirely volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the ideal that all the children in our community have the right to be important, the right to be recognized, and the right to learn fundamental core values from responsible adults.
