Gospel singing legend Richard Graham is getting the band back together.
Just Passing Thru, a longtime local favorite, is reuniting for a 30th anniversary concert this Sunday, Oct. 25.
The concert will be held at New Voice Worship Center in Centertown across from Cat’s Diner.
“This is going to be old-time gospel singing the way it used to be,” said Graham. “After 30 years, it’s great to get everybody back together. Who knows, this may be the last time we ever play together.”
Just Passing Thru was especially active in the Warren County area in the 1990s and the group even did some touring outside of Tennessee. Original members included Gary Argo, Judy Argo, Tommy Wannyn, Ken Youngblood and Daniel Campbell.
Graham began singing with the band after it had formed. He was well-known on the local gospel circuit for years, including performances on the Sunday afternoon of fair week during gospel singing at the grandstand.
Graham moved to California several years ago, but is happy to be back visiting friends in the Warren County area.
“We hope everyone comes out to see us for what will be a great night,” said Graham. “We’ll be performing for around two hours, maybe longer.”
