The following is a political announcement paid for by Jarvis Johnson

Dear family, friends, and fellow citizens of Warren County,

As a lifelong resident of Warren County I have seen many changes through the years. We are facing a crucial time. Not only across the nation, but also in our own community. While Warren County has made strides to protect our students, staff and teachers, we can always do more. I’m proud of the hard work our community leaders have done and the safety standards they have established, but the work is not done.

It seems like every morning the news reports another shooting, another attack, and another community grieving over a situation involving innocent people targeted by those who don’t hold our same morals and values. Our hearts break as their grieving is displayed on TV and social

media for everyone to see. I can’t help but think, what could have been done? Who could have done more to educate the schools on how to prevent, report, respond, or end these grievous acts?

While I may not know the answer for other communities, I know Warren County needs someone to step up with an extensive background in school safety and security. Someone who works every day in all of our schools to improve safety measures. Someone who does training specifically for school-based incidents and prevention. Someone who works daily to build positive and trusted relationships with our students and their families. I am that person!

I have spent the last 24 years serving my community as a law enforcement officer, and a majority of that time has been protecting our students as one of the school resource officers.

Currently, I serve as the captain overseeing all 14 SROs and the safety of all the schools in our district. We are honored to protect over 6,000 students each year. I am blessed to work with some of the best officers in Warren County. These officers and I work daily to build relationships and make connections with students, staff, faculty and families. Because of this, I have insights that no one else has. By working in the schools every day, I see firsthand the dangers and challenges that our school system faces.

Our school board is made up of business owners, former educators and community leaders. While their experience is valuable, the one thing we are missing is someone with school safety experience. I am that person!

With your help, we can make a difference. We can make Warren County safer and provide our students, staff and teachers the best protection possible.

I am sincerely asking for your vote for District 2 School Board in 2024.

Thank you for your support!

Husband, father, pastor, and supervising captain over SROs,

Jarvis Johnson
