Local residents are going to get to experience the best of both worlds Saturday, Oct. 6 – Main Street Live and the Autumn Street Fair.

Due to stormy weather back in July, Main Street Live’s summer concert featuring the Joe Harvey Band was canceled and has been rescheduled to take place during the Autumn Street Fair. The Joe Harvey Band will headline the Main Stage at 2:30 p.m. and play a full, two-hour concert with door prizes at the intermission.

“Autumn Street Fair draws over 10,000 people from near and far to downtown,” said Katie Kemezis, executive director of Main Street McMinnville. “Main Street McMinnville is thrilled to contribute to the festival and close down the show with the on-your-feet rock ‘n roll classics of the Joe Harvey Band.”

The Joe Harvey Band is a local favorite which enjoys a reputation for engaging the audience. Front man Joe Harvey brings tremendous energy and shares it with the crowd.

Concert-goers should bring blankets and chairs and grab a spot early on the grassy lot in front of the Main Stage. Food vendors including Sparky’s Kettle Corn and Rocky Top Sno will be located on Court Square. Collins River BBQ will be offering to-go orders as well.

Additionally, Main Street McMinnville will have a tent where people can sign up for door prizes including four tickets to Lake Winnie Family Amusement Park. They will also be accepting food donations for the Warren County Food Bank and school supply donations for the Children’s Advocacy Center.

The Autumn Street Fair is in its 24th year and is a perennial day-long event in downtown. With a wide variety of vendors, delicious food, games and entertainment, organizers say it’s an event worth attending.
