A wreck occurred Tuesday around 3 p.m. near the intersection of the bypass and Old Smithville Road causing one vehicle to roll into the median. Noah Snyder, 17, driver of the Altima, along with passenger Emily Acevedo, 15 were on the bypass traveling through the Old Smithville Road intersection when they were cut off by a Buick driven by Shirley Redmon, 74 and her 6-year-old passenger. - photo by Lacy Garrison

A wreck occurred Tuesday around 3 p.m. near the intersection of the bypass and Old Smithville Road causing one vehicle to roll into the median. Noah Snyder, 17, driver of the Altima, along with passenger Emily Acevedo, 15 were on the bypass traveling through the Old Smithville Road intersection when they were cut off by a Buick driven by Shirley Redmon, 74 and her 6-year-old passenger. According to Lt. Mark Mara, both teens were wearing their seatbelts which prevented them from being ejected during the collision. No one suffered significant injuries. Redmon was cited for failure to exercise due care.
