It looks like the city will have an extra $40,000 in its pocket this year. The Industrial Development Board has officially notified the city of McMinnville of its intent not to seek funding this fiscal year.“McMinnville-Warren County Industrial Development Board is pleased to request zero funding this fiscal year so that we will not be a burden on the taxpayers of McMinnville,” said Don Alexander, IDB director, in a letter to the city. “We have worked very hard to get to this juncture by striving to be the best stewards with the funds that have been allocated to us. This is a very exciting crossroads for us to handle both our projects and administrative costs as well.”The letter went on to explain that funding could be requested in the future.“Please understand that should a major project overwhelm our office, we will of necessity request the funds to invest in job creation for our citizens.
