Ice Cream Social held to honor seniors

For all they have achieved throughout life and for all they continue to accomplish, we owe older citizens our thanks and a heartfelt salute.First United Methodist Church provided an Ice Cream Social to show its support, honor and appreciation to seniors and to recognize their achievements. The event was held Monday, Aug. 21, which is National Senior Citizens Day.“We want to thank everyone for their attendance,” said Pam Harris, pastor assistant at the church. “Today is about showing our appreciation to seniors, all they’ve done and all they continue to do.
