Help us celebrate 50 years of Pioneers
50yrs

To celebrate 50 years of Warren County Pioneers, all former WCHS students are invited to visit the Southern Standard’s booth at the Autumn Street Fair this Saturday with their school memorabilia in hand.

Members of the first consolidated Warren County graduating class of 1969-70 will be the newspaper’s special guests, but all graduates are encouraged to stop by to reminisce about their school days and share old photographs.

Standard employees are compiling pictures for the newspaper’s keepsake 2020 calendar are your picture could be included.

“We always want our calendar to be something special,” said Standard publisher Patricia Zechman. “We have a catalogue of old pictures in our archives, but we’d like to take a look at some pictures we haven’t seen before to see if they can be included in the calendar.”

The Standard booth will be located in front of the courthouse during Autumn Street Fair festivities from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 5. The street fair will feature food, crafts, entertainment, and a downtown area packed with fun.

A Halloween costume contest for the dog in your life is set to begin at 10 a.m. A cornhole tournament with a $10 entry fee is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. with more than $250 in prizes available.

Over 200 vendors have registered to participate in the day-long event. There is no charge for admission.
