Saturday will present a chance for the community to lend a helping paw to a local nonprofit.
Helping Animals of Warren County, or HAWC, is holding its Movie Day at Three Star Cinema in collaboration with Papa Johns and Dr Pepper. Papa Johns will be furnishing the pizza included as part of the admission fee, while Dr Pepper will offer soft drinks.
HAWC wants to encourage families and individuals alike to come out to see the film “Lady and the Tramp” played on the silver screen.
“We are hoping to have a good turnout,” said HAWC president Hollie Cox. “We really need the money to keep getting all of the feral cats fixed and we’re grateful to our sponsors for helping us organize this.”
The movie begins at 10 a.m. Pajamas and stuffed animal friends are not only welcome but encouraged. Tickets are $10 and include admission, pizza and a soft drink of your choice. Families of four will be eligible for a special price of $35. The cost of tickets go directly to HAWC’s spay and neuter fund that helps to control the animal population in Warren County. Tickets will be available at the theater the day of the event.
COVID-specific guidelines that are in place at Three Star Cinema will continue to be followed. Information about HAWC’s program, as well as spay and neuter vouchers, can also be found at their booth for interested parties. HAWC is able to receive donations at the venue and welcomes any and all pet supply items.
