A Smithville man has been ordered to serve 90 days in jail and pay over $7,000 in restitution for a theft and vandalism spree targeting local businesses.

Joshua Brandon Graham, 33, was ordered by Judge Bart Stanley to serve 90 days of a four-year sentence and make $7,740 restitution. He entered guilty pleas to three counts of theft and two counts of vandalism.

Graham was charged in April after three local businesses filed reports with McMinnville Police Department.

Officers believe Graham’s theft spree started March 18 at Gateway Tire on Smithville Highway. The business reported the theft of tires and surveillance footage showed an unknown individual taking the tires.

While detectives were investigating that incident, two other businesses reported thefts and vandalisms resulting in considerable damage to coin dispensers and vending machines. Those incidents occurred April 14 -- one at Plaza Quick Wash, 1100 Smithville Highway, and the other at Quick Wash, 231 Northgate Drive.

Video surveillance was also obtained from those businesses.

Graham was identified as a suspect. He was located, brought in for questioning, and charged.
